Sasha admitted that she was transgender at the time she entered high school. Those were difficult years however, Sasha believed that with the support from his family and friends that he was able to handle any situation. Jim and Sasha both are songwriters and have just recently formed an official band. Since then they've performed at many local venues such as open mics. The Voice coaches never discussed Sasha's past, however Jim and Sasha have shared their story through a short video that was shown prior to their performance. The two talked about the music they enjoy and how Sasha first picked up a guitar at the age of just six years old. The father of Sasha is a music teacher, which made studying the art of playing easier for his. Sasha was a victim of identity problems as a boy, even being a woman. In an Instagram post posted recently Sasha spoke about the struggles he had to face. Jim was overwhelmed with emotion when he shared the reasons he was not able to help during these difficult moments. Sasha Allen is a contestant on The Voice. She was born a girl. Sasha Allen turns 19 in 2021. At the time Sasha was in freshman high school, he came out as transgender and started transitioning into a male.
